Maa
My very first bond is known as ‘maa aur beti ka rishta’,
As she is ‘meri zindagi ka farishta’.
My relationship with her is nine months deeper and beautiful than any other.
No doubt I am her only princess and she is my mother.
She knows me more than me
Her love is deeper than the sea.
Maa your love is so soothing,
Your arms are so gentle and comforting,
Maa I never want to leave your cosy lap.
Maa please hold me in your arms and allow me to take a nap,
Maa you are my safe place, away from this world’s trap.
Away from the world’s heat,
Maa please take me where none can cheat.
A contented and calm place,
where there is no rat race.
Just you and me and no other,
Where, I am your only princess and you are my mother.
