What Is Music?
What is music? Is it the morning's sweet song?
Or a newborn's cry where life begins strong?
Or maybe it's the quotes that echo through our mind
Saying our playlists reveal our deepest kind?
It's lovely to think that our favourite tunes will play
When our time on earth comes to an end on that final day
The thought of our souls dancing with all those who've gone
Is a heavenly view where love and music are one.
But what is music really? Is it the sound of rain?
Or thunder's roar or the symphony of life's refrain?
Or maybe it's the song that brings us to our knees
Where memories flow and tears fall without a plea.
Or is it the song that makes us feel like we're in a dream
Where life is a fairytale like Alice in Wonderland's scheme
Where we're lost yet found, with characters that are so kind
And tea parties with rabbits and toasts that are so fine.
