Cats are so cute, you’ll agree

To get past them, you pay a fee

Pats on the head or belly rubs

Or better still kisses and hugs.

Your laptop, phone or notebook

Is their cushion, it’s understood

You can get no work done on time

You admire them napping, sublime

How can you wake the sleeping feline?

Disturbing them can’t make you feel fine!

The adorable little creatures, purr softly

They turn over and look at you warmly.

They open an eye, and mew politely

Stretch out a paw towards you, nicely.

You can’t help but coo in utter delight

To give that soft belly a rub, you decide.

Your feline smiles, purrs louder with great joy

And suddenly the sharp claws are out, boy O boy!
