St. Mary’s we love you!

This year 2021, marks the quasquicentennial jubilee of my alma mater. With the school celebrating 125 years the alumni from far and near feel nostalgic and proud to be the happy children of a wonderful mother. I too feel overjoyed to have gathered learning experiences in her care. I have penned this Roseate Sonnet to express my feelings as an alumnus even though it’s difficult to put into words all the gratitude I feel.

St. Mary’s we love you!

From the corridors to the class rooms

To the beautiful garden’s pretty blooms

St. Mary’s has been a gentle mother

Guiding and teaching like no other.

St. Mary’s has showered us with her love

And still watches over us from above

Her bright blue mantle still envelopes us

Though miles away, she lives in all of us.

How can we ever forget our formative years?

The separation from this mother had brought floods of tears!

Radiantly, still shines her pretty face

Over the young and old, a blessed race

St. Marians all over the globe feel blessed

Ever privileged to have her as a mother, the best!
