When Love Calls...

An initial message led to a string of them. The first phone call was the beginning of numerous long conversations. Many of which continued into the early hours. The gulmohar bloomed and dressed herself in a vibrant red as months just flew on wings. The monsoons brought mutual emotions to fulfillment with a confession of feelings. They walked along the path holding hands, much in love, into the dusk. Their relationship blessed by the Gods with a steady drizzle. The fiery gulmohar strewed their way with her petals.

The colour of Love

A brilliant red

Matched by the Gulmohar!

The Gulmohar rejoiced

Strewed the path

With red hearts and love!

Somewhere the Peacock

Called in the dusk

As the Gulmohar bloomed.

The fragrance of Love

Of crushed petals

And rain drenched soil.
